Chiefs Predictions at Texans on Sunday Night Football

Each week we are going to have NFL analysts, media personalities and other podcast hosts give us their Chiefs Predictions. This week it’s time for another primetime matchup on Sunday Night Football with a look from Madden 2018 as well.

Here is our week five pregame and predictions.

Matt Williamson – National NFL Analyst – I am still not a huge Watson believer here and I think Kansas City will defend him much better than Houston’s last two opponents. However, I am worried a little about the Chiefs offensive line on the road against JJ Watt and company. And as well as Kansas City is playing, they just feel ripe for a loss to me. That being said, I think they squeak one out in Houston. Texans 23, Chiefs 24

Connor Rogers – Host of the Sticktofootball Podcast – Deshaun Watson has been amazing for Houston but he runs into a Chiefs defense that is bound to create a turnover in this one. On offense, Kansas City has too much big play ability to be kept in check. Chiefs stay undefeated. Texans 20, Chiefs 31

A quick reminder to take a look at this past weeks Chiefs Spotlight on Harrison Butker.

Mike Renner, Senior Analyst ProFootballFocus.com – The Texans bring the best defensive front the Chiefs have faced all season. On the opposite side Deshaun Watson’s mobility will create issues if the Chiefs stick with their man heavy approach. Texans 16, Chiefs 13

Matt Derrick, Publisher ChiefsDigest.com  – This is a tough road game against a nasty defense. Winning on the road in prime time after playing at home Monday night adds to the difficulty. But the Chiefs have the experience and motivation going for them in this game. Deshaun Watson is an X-factor, but a very seasoned defense should lead the way. Texans 24, Chiefs 27

A quick look back at the Chiefs News from last weeks win over the Redskins.

Carrington Harrison – 610 Sports – Struggling with this one. I think it’s a bit of “the Chiefs are due theory”. Tough SNF road game after a tough MNF. I’ll take Houston, but I don’t feel good about it. Texans 21, Chiefs 17

Cody Tapp – SportsRadio 810 – The loss will come eventually for the Chiefs but not this week. QBs have had a hard time against the Chiefs and now they get Watson a high performing rookie. Sutton will show him stuff he hasn’t seen. Texans 14, Chiefs 24

Arrowheads Abroad – Chiefs UK and International Supporters Club (Tom) – Who’s turn is it this week? Tyreek, Travis or Kareem? My money is on Tyreek. With the Texans looking to shut down Kelce who has done so much damage to them in the past, I am looking for Alex to air it out to Tyreek early. The Chiefs get up early and then control the game with Kareem. Texans 16, Chiefs 24

Mark Schofield – Locked on Patriots Senior Analyst – I think this one is going to be really close, and the Texans come close to pulling out the win at home in somewhat of an offensive shootout. KC pulls it out late. Texans 27, Chiefs 28

A quick review of the Pressure Points for this weeks game.

Ryan Tracy, Locked on Chiefs Senior Analyst – Alex Smith is able to find soft spots in the Texans defense and can also take advantage with his legs. Marcus Peters does Marcus Peters things. Texans 21, Chiefs 28

Chris Clark, Locked on Chiefs Senior Analyst – Chiefs offense is better than they have been the past couple of seasons. Watson makes the Texans better but I’m still not sold he’s their future. Texans 17, Chiefs 31

A look from the world of Madden 2018

Madden 2018 –  The Chiefs took it to the Texans early jumping out to an early 19-0 lead in the second quarter. The Texans led in the fourth but the Chiefs finished out the game strong and stole a win in Houston. Texans 20, Chiefs 25
