Each week we are going to have NFL analysts, media personalities and other podcast hosts with their prediction for the Chiefs game that week. Here is our week one pregame and predictions.

Matt Williamson – National NFL Analyst – First off, my heart always goes out to the team that has to open the NFL slate by going into the Super Bowl Champion’s home on Thursday night. And the Champs are even better now than they were a year ago. The key for Kansas City will be getting pressure on Tom Brady.  They are certainly capable, but in the end, I am forecasting a very long evening for KC in Foxboro.  Patriots 27, Chiefs 21

Connor Rogers – Host of the Sticktofootball Podcast – Kansas City gets thrown into a buzz-saw going on the road to New England for week one, but this unit is no pushover. A strong defense will do everything to keep them in the game. However, containing the Tom Brady led offense now featuring Brandin Cooks will be nearly impossible.  Patriots 27, Chiefs 21

Carrington Harrison – 610 Sports – There are 256 regular season games in the NFL. There’s not 1 harder than the one that Kansas City plays on Thursday.  Patriots 27, Chiefs 14

Cody Tapp – SportsRadio 810 – KC will put up a fight but beating the Patriots at home will prove too tough.  Patriots 24, Chiefs 17

Arrowheads Abroad – Chiefs UK and International Supporters Club (Dave) – Playing the defending Super Bowl champs on opening week is going to be tough. Kansas City needs to establish the run game early and take the pressure off Smith. In the end, I think the Patriots will be too strong. KC will fall just short in a valiant effort on the road in Foxboro.  Patriots 24, Chiefs 21

Mark Schofield – Locked on Patriots Senior Analyst – I think New England wins a close contest. Bill Belichick will try and contain Travis Kelce as best as he can.  So KC gets a big play or two from Tyreek Hill in the passing game. But Tom Brady and company have enough to pull out the win.  Patriots 27, Chiefs 24

Ryan Tracy, Locked on Chiefs Senior Analyst – Andy Reid has had all offseason to prepare for Bill Belichick and the Patriots. If Reid has this team prepared and ready, they have the talent to win with his scheme. If not, Kansas City will get demolished. I am betting that the veteran leaders on this team have them ready.  Chiefs 27, Patriots 21

Chris Clark, Locked on Chiefs Senior Analyst – Kansas City’s gameplan is simple. Attack the Patriots from the start of the game. I think Reid can game plan well for the match-up but will Alex Smith execute it? Unfortunately not enough to win. Patriots 27, Chiefs 21
