The blockbuster film “Rampage” hit theaters this weekend staring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Chiefs fans that watch the movie might have noticed that the main character of the movie played by Johnson is named Davis Okoye. According to a tweet posted by Johnson, this is a direct reference to Chiefs legend Christian “The Nigerian Nightmare” Okoye. “Since my character was adopted by a Nigerian family, I wanted his last name to pay homage to one of my all time fav @NFL football players – the “Nigerian Nightmare” Christian Okoye,” tweeted Johnson. When Okoye got wind of this, the two-time Pro Bowler was surprised. “I said, ‘Man, he remembered me,’” Okoye said according to Chiefs.com. “It’s funny how you don’t know how much of an impact you’re having on other people. It made me feel good when I read it.”

ESPN draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. created his latest two-round mock draft. In this latest version, Kiper has the Chiefs using their second round pick on a wide receiver. “The Chiefs gave a big free-agent deal to Sammy Watkins, but they shouldn’t be finished. New starter Patrick Mahomes needs some help,” Kiper said. Specifically, he has the Chiefs taking James Washington, the receiver out of Oklahoma State. Kiper’s thoughts surprised a lot of Chiefs fans, seeing as the Chiefs are seemingly loaded on the offensive side of the ball. Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Kareem Hunt, and Spencer Ware, are just a few of the weapons Mahomes will have going into next year. Despite this seemingly crazy prediction, Chiefs fans have seen crazier things happen.
